John started his financial planning career in 1986 after 8 years as a Registered Physical Therapist, one of two degrees he completed in college.
When he began finding real passion for financial services while helping to educate his co-workers about the employer’s benefits package, this became the motivation to make a switch, and John never looked back. Feeling the need to become more fully educated in the world of personal financial planning, he attained the Certified Financial Planner™ certification from the College for Financial Planning in 1991.
Over the past 30+ years, John has had the great pleasure of working with people of many backgrounds to better organize their finances, identify their most compelling life goals and then work toward attaining them. And when life’s uncertainties come along, John and his support team work hand in hand with clients to sort out all their options, so that they may make more fully informed decisions.
John received his degrees (Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts) Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and obtained the Certified Financial Planner™ certification from the College for Financial Planning. He holds his insurance licenses and FINRA registrations 6, 7, 22, 24, 63, and 65 through LPL Financial, where he is also an investment advisor representative.
With two adult children and two grandchildren, John enjoys going to Philadelphia and Edinburgh, Scotland for family visits; he is involved at his local church and pursues his interest in music by singing in a mixed voice choir, learning to read music and play the guitar. He also enjoys hiking, exploring and just being outdoors in his spare time.
